Other Religions Wedding Ceremonies in Tuscany

We can also arrange weddings according to Protestant, Jewish or Orthodox rites. In these cases, it is possible to be married in a sacred location (church or synagogue) or in a villa, castle or garden, and in any case before a celebrant who is officially recognized by the Italian State. Please note that to be recognized by Italian authorities these religious ceremonies have to be preceded by a civil ceremony which can take place either in Italy or in your country of residence.

PROTESTANT CEREMONY

Protestant wedding ceremonies can be performed in the Anglican churches in Florence: St.James’ or St.Mark’s. The ceremony is performed by an English speaking priests. The religious ceremony or a blessing can be arranged for any couple who has already married civilly outside Florence according to the special requirements of the Anglican Church.

JEWISH CEREMONY

Jewish couples can get married with the Jewish tradition in the beautiful, historic synagogues of Siena and Florence standing beneath a wedding chuppah or if the rabbi agrees also at private castles or villas under the beautiful chuppah overlooking the rolling hills, vineyards and olive trees.

Couples must obtain permission from their Orthodox rabbi at home who sends authorization to the rabbi in Italy. The signing of the wedding ketubah, the breaking of the glass can be enriched by the traditional music of the Jewish faith.
