Palazzo Comunale - Palazzo del Popolo. The Town Hall of San Gimignano is a majestic 13th century palace that reigns the central squarePiazza del Duomo” with the 12th Century Cathedral surrounded by impressive medieval buildings and its tower “Torre Grossa” is the highest one in town.

Inside the medieval complex there is a picturesque 14th century courtyard and a wonderful medieval loggia from which the view is spectacular.

Civil ceremonies are held in the famous "Sala di Dante" which was so named after Dante Alighieri visited San Gimignano in 1300 as a Guelph ambassador. The walls of the wedding hall are completely adorned by famous frescoes of the Senese school and original period furniture.
